I love making sugar flowers! It is just amazing how you can get gum paste to look exactly like a real flower. I made these lavender orchids for a baby shower this past weekend. They wanted a tropical feel without the infiltration of "Luau".
Whenever I make sugar flowers I usually but a silk flower at Micheal's or AC Moore. I then dissect the flowers and see the different petals and pieces of the flower. You can buy actual specific cutters, which I do as well, but if you are short on time buying a silk flower works just fine!
