I had a first experience in my little baking world! I received a request for a Gluten-Free cake - I love a challenges so I knew I wanted to try making the cake! I scoured the internet trying to find different recipes for cakes that contain no flour and it was not has hard as I imagined! There are loads of websites and Gluten-Free lifestyle pages, it is really quite interesting. I found a tasty recipe and then had to decided what the cake was to look like.
The woman who this cake was made for was involved in an amazing organization called Global Camps for Africa - this organization helps children in South Africa who have been diagnosed with AIDS/HIV an gives them the education they need in their lifetime. The person who ordered the cake from me and the guests who were attending the party were all heavily involved in this organization so I got my main inspiration from this. I was also given a quote that the birthday girl enjoyed - "When the music changes so does the dance" Zulu.
